1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, activating, or using the YakWP plugin (“Plugin”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Plugin.

2. License

YakWP plugin: Commercial license. The number of sites allowed depends on the license tier purchased (1, 3, 5, 10, or 30 sites). No redistribution, reselling, or sharing of source code. The plugin source code is the intellectual property of Oliver Đorić. You may not redistribute, resell, or share the plugin files.

Affiliate program: Approved affiliates may promote YakWP and earn commissions on referred sales. Affiliates do not receive redistribution rights. The plugin files may only be distributed by YakWP through our official storefront.

3. Payment Options

YakWP Pro is available as either a one-time lifetime license (from €64, depending on tier) or a monthly (€2.99/mo) or yearly (€29.90/yr) subscription. There are no hidden charges beyond your chosen plan. All payments are processed securely through Lemon Squeezy, our authorized merchant of record. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled; you may cancel at any time from your Lemon Squeezy account, and access continues through the current paid period.

4. Lifetime Updates

Your purchase includes lifetime updates: bug fixes, security patches, and feature updates at no additional cost. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the product — if we discontinue YakWP, we will provide at least 90 days’ notice.

5. Support

Support is provided via email. Response times are not guaranteed. Priority support is available for managed setup clients. The free version receives community support only.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLUGIN IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that:

  • The Plugin will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure
  • The Plugin will meet your specific requirements
  • Any defects in the Plugin will be corrected
  • The Plugin will be free from vulnerabilities, bugs, or security issues
  • The results obtained from the use of the Plugin will be accurate or reliable

You acknowledge that no software is free from vulnerabilities and that you use the Plugin at your own risk.

7. Security and Self-Hosted Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the security of your WordPress installation. YakWP is self-hosted software. This means:

  • Server security: You are responsible for maintaining a secure hosting environment, keeping WordPress core, themes, and plugins updated, and implementing appropriate server-level security measures.
  • API key security: You are responsible for securing your own AI provider API keys. Store API keys in WordPress settings — never expose them in client-side code or public repositories.
  • Data security: Conversation data is stored in your WordPress database. You are responsible for database security, backups, and access controls.
  • Vulnerability reporting: If you discover a security issue in YakWP, please report it to our contact page. We will investigate and address confirmed issues as promptly as practicable.
  • No security guarantee: We do not guarantee the Plugin is free from all vulnerabilities. We make commercially reasonable efforts to address reported security issues, but cannot warrant that any version will be completely secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business, business interruption, security breaches, unauthorized access, or data theft, regardless of the cause of action or the theory of liability, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE PLUGIN SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PLUGIN (or, for subscriptions, the amount paid in the most recent billing period). This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless YakWP and its developers from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Plugin
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Any claim that your use of the Plugin infringes a third party’s rights
  • Any security breach of your WordPress installation
  • Any misuse of AI provider API keys configured within the Plugin
  • Any content generated by the chatbot on your website

10. Third-Party Services

The Plugin integrates with third-party AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI, OpenRouter) to generate chatbot responses. These services:

  • Are operated by third parties and are subject to their own terms and privacy policies
  • May be unavailable, change pricing, or discontinue features without our control
  • Process data (chat messages) according to their own data handling practices
  • May have usage limits, rate limits, or content filtering policies beyond our control

We are not liable for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party AI responses.

11. AI-Generated Content

The Plugin uses AI to generate chatbot responses. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated responses are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice
  • We are not responsible for decisions made based on chatbot responses
  • AI may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate responses
  • You are responsible for monitoring and configuring the chatbot’s behavior appropriate to your website’s context
  • You must comply with applicable AI disclosure laws (including the EU AI Act) by displaying an appropriate notice to your visitors

12. API Keys

You are responsible for obtaining and managing your own AI provider API key. API usage costs are billed directly by your chosen provider and are not included in the YakWP purchase price. You are solely responsible for any charges incurred through your API key usage.

13. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. If YakWP doesn’t meet your needs, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. See our Refund Policy for details.

14. Intellectual Property

The YakWP name, logo, branding, and source code are the intellectual property of Oliver Đorić. All rights reserved. You may not redistribute, resell, or share the plugin. You may not use the YakWP name, logo, or branding to promote derivative works without written permission.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Plugin after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to notify existing customers of material changes via email or in-Plugin notice.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Serbia. Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Serbia.
